ECF FarmsystemsRole: Strategy
Design: Sonnenstaub

Brief: Create an engaging corporate identity for ECF farming systems. Make it appeal to investors, retail partners, and end consumers alike.

Thoughts: When people hear “farming systems,” they think vertical, not circular. We needed to foster an understanding of ECF’s innovative approach to distinguish it from synthetic, energy-intensive vertical systems.

Approach: Complex technologies are a hard sell – unless you repackage them as an inspiring, easy-to-grasp vision. Instead of “man on the moon,” why not “greenhouse on every supermarket?!”



Design: We developed a greenhouse-inspired grid design and vectorized farm symbols to reflect the modular nature of ECF's technology. A tapered sans-serif font along with bright green color blocking highlights the human element in their high-tech approach.

Crops and humans, shown in dynamic, natural light, set ECF apart from its vertical UV-light counterparts, emphasizing the integrated natural aspect of ECF's farm systems.
