Brief: Create a strategy that would guide a new type of plant-based milk for years to come – providing values, positioning, mission statement and claim.

Thoughts: Plant-based milks are a dime a dozen. So, to launch one in 2019, you better have a clear vision and strong message to really stand out in overpopulated supermarket shelves. 

Approach: Made from pea protein and optimized in its nutritional value, vly is a decidedly more technical product than its competitors. We wanted to highlight this, while adding emotional depth with dynamic colors, modular shapes and a signature logo font. A far cry from the all-natural banjo aesthetics prevalent in the category.

Success: High protein, high demand. In just 3 years, vly grew to become the third-largest player in its category after Alpro and Oatly.
