YamoRole: Strategy, Tone of Voice, Copy
Design: Sonnenstaub

yamo has set out to revolutionize the world of baby food with an ingenious technology (HPP) that uses pressure – not heat – to preserve the many important nutrients, delicious color, and fresh taste of their all-natural & organic formulas.

After 5 years on the market, the time was ripe to rethink the brand as a whole. For this, we developed a brand strategy, tone of voice and copy guide that would inspire a new generation of kids and parents – as bold and vibrant as yamo’s super fresh product.

Instead of clichéd parent-child stock photography, we wanted to give Yamo a fresh face by using candid, contemporary visuals that capture real-life moments as though their parents had taken them. After all, there’s nothing young parents love more than documenting baby's first everything.
Kids will be kids. For pre-schoolers and up, we wanted to capture a sense of adventure, cheekiness, and independent exploration, putting them front and center, parent-less, and letting them be: themselves.
We were asked to gamify special nutritional supplements in Yamo’s recipes to appeal to both children and parents alike. The result: our Yamo Superpowers.
